GMI Has Heard Their Cry
Since 2013, over 1.9 million people have been displaced from their homes. It was reported by Ghiorghi that many families have even been eating stray dogs to feed themselves. The people there are suffering through hunger, homelessness, and adverse weather conditions; those who aren’t starving to death could very easily fall victim to the extreme cold that is coming upon W. Ukraine in the following months.
In addition to a youth camp, GMI has found a 16 acre plot of land with a massive facility that needs to be purchased, refurbished, and furnished. This will provide not only for the war-made orphans, but also for entire families. There is enough room to house and feed over 200 orphans in this facility.
Also on the land will be a farm. This farm will provide for emotional support and constructive work for the children to be involved with. With winter right upon us and the immense displacement and poverty of West Ukraine, this facility will be an indescribable blessing to the area, and be an open door into God’s grace and the gospel message.
