Our dear brother Farshid Fathi is 35 today.
He is spending another birthday behind bars in Iran, because of his faith in Jesus.
After nearly four years in prison, his situation has worsened. Two weeks ago he was suddenly moved to a new prison, Rajai Shahr. It is even more brutal than Evin prison where he was before. I am deeply concerned for his safety. He is imprisoned with hardened criminals and drug addicts and a guard is constantly present in the ward to stop assaults between inmates.

Jesus tells us to visit those in prison; most of us cannot do that for Farshid, but we can pray, act and speak out for him.
On behalf of his friends and family, can I ask you to do four things on his birthday?
- Please pray for him to have "light and gladness and joy and honour" (Esther 8:16); and for Farshid to reflect the light of the Gospel in order to dispel the darkness, and lead some eternal souls to His salvation.
- Please take one minute to sign the petition for Farshid's release.
- If you use Twitter, please tweet a birthday message or photo for Farshid to Iran's Supreme Leader (@Khamenei_ir) and Iran's state television (@PressTV), to draw their attention to his case. Include the hashtag #HappyBirthdayFarshidFathi in your tweet.
