Our newest missionary, Sammy Njiru had his computer crash! This is his main tool in ministry as well as being able to effectively communicate the needs for Youngsters For Christ in the slums of Kenya.

He is asking for $900 to buy a new and capable laptop that will allow him to continue his work! As a Media Director, I understand the importance of having, not just a laptop or computer, but one that's truly able to preform the functions you need. Please pray, and give as God leads! Thank you and God bless!

Speaking during a Christian outreach organised by Youngsters for Christ (YCT) at Kamkunji on Sunday evening, Pastor Sammy Njiru called on the youth to behave well for a peaceful Kibera.

“The organisation has more than 3,000 youth and usually conducts counseling lessons to the youth in Kibera, giving them room to network,” said Pastor Njiru.

The YCT team reforms youth who are then taught discipleship, evangelism and other church ministries.

Being interdenominational, YCT has helped youth from different regions to reform and shun illicit behaviors.

Ten-year-old drummist, Lenny Otieno, said the group has helped him hone his skills and intends to join a musical band in Nairobi.

Another pastor, Peter Frank, said YCT has helped him detach from the negative influences which lured him into crime due via peer pressure.

“Most of my friends are now at Kamiti Maximum Prison, but God saved me, and I thank Him,” said Frank who now pastors a church in Thika.

On her part, Winnie Matete said that joining YCT has greatly improved her musical career through attending local vocal training.
